# Facilities

## Zone & Rule Management

{% @arcade/embed flowId="76SKt41bGuNfrKGQMkXI" url="<https://app.arcade.software/share/76SKt41bGuNfrKGQMkXI>" %}

If you navigate to the Facilities page on the portal, you can view and click into any of your facilities. The default view will be your camera list for that facility, navigating to the map view will show you indoor and outdoor spaces where you can create zones to monitor for particular types of activity depending on your facility and security needs. For example, trespassing at night in an outdoor space, more than 5 people detected in an area of the building that should only have 2 at a time, etc.

There are two types of spaces, indoor and outdoor. For indoor spaces, you can fill a zone or draw a zone. For outdoor spaces, you can create a square zone or draw a zone.

There are four zone types: public, semi-public, restricted, and highly restricted. These are indicated on an incident when it is escalated.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.volt.ai/volt/8EnMblOhYy6VQJFNi0Vz/portal/facilities.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
